Oxalic acid is more active after heating. The molecule in high temperature will speed up its movement. Where it is used, its function will play a more perfect role after heating. How does its heating process proceed?

1. Check the air tightness of the device. Quantitative oxalic acid was added to the test tube, anhydrous copper sulfate was added to the middle of the glass tube, ice water was added to the beaker to form an ice water bath, and quantitative clarified lime water was added to the wide-mouth bottle.

2. Soon after heating the test tube, there are condensate droplets in the test tube, continue to heat, anhydrous copper sulfate turns blue, droplets continuously drop in the test tube, a large number of bubbles are produced in the wide-mouth bottle, clarifying lime water becomes turbid.

3. Ignite the residual gas purified by the drying tube, the flame is light blue flame, put oxalic acid cover on the inner wall with a small amount of clarified lime water infiltration beaker, lime water turbidity.

4. Stop heating and separate the turbidity of the wide-mouth bottle. The precipitation is divided into two small tubes. One tube is added with dilute hydrochloric acid and the other tube is added with acetic acid.

The whole heating process of oxalic acid, assisted by anhydrous copper sulfate, improves its activity. Before using oxalic acid, it is heated to keep its activity for a period of time and increase its function.

Moisture-proof measures for industrial oxalic acid

1. Put oxalic acid in a dryer to isolate water from it and prevent it from reacting.

2. Put industrial oxalic acid in the grinding bottle, and the grinding bottle stopper should be original.

3. In order to prevent water absorption and decomposition. Industrial oxalic acid should be sealed in wax.

4. Lay a double layer of tar paper on oxalic acid to isolate it from the air.

To prevent industrial oxalic acid from getting wet, seal the bottle immediately after it is used up, so that it can be sealed well. When stored, it will not mix with other chemicals, especially reagents, to prevent the water from mixing in.
