What is the use of oxalic acid in printing and dyeing industry?

1. It can be used as an agent for removing rust stains on fabrics. The composition of rust varies with the conditions of formation, but the rust usually contains trivalent iron ions. Once the cotton fabric is stained with rust spots, it will form defects, which need to be removed.

2. Industrial oxalic acid is a useful agent for removing rust stains on cotton cloth. It can form ferric oxalate anionic chromium complex with trivalent iron ions, which is easily soluble in water.

3. After industrial oxalic acid treatment, cotton fabric needs to be thoroughly cleaned with clean water. Rust spots on nylon fabrics can cause yellowing of fabrics, and can be removed by industrial oxalic acid.

Printing and dyeing coatings need industrial oxalic acid to reinforce the dyeing effect. Similarly, it can also remove the rust stains on the fabric and has the cleaning effect. This is mainly based on the principle of chemical reaction, which is a necessary reagent in the printing and dyeing industry.

What are the industrial production methods of oxalic acid?

1. Sodium formate method: After carbon monoxide purification, sodium formate is produced by reaction between pressure and sodium hydroxide, then sodium oxalate is produced by high temperature dehydrogenation, and refined oxalic acid is produced by acidification, calcification, crystallization and dehydration.

2. Ethylene glycol oxidation: Purified oxalic acid can be obtained by oxidation of ethylene glycol in air in the presence of nitric acid and sulfuric acid.

3. Oxygenation: Starch or glucose mother liquor is used as raw material to oxidize with nitric acid-sulfuric acid in the presence of Alum Catalyst to obtain refined oxalic acid.

4. Carbonyl synthesis method: This method can be divided into gas-phase method and liquid-phase method. The reaction conditions of gas-phase method are lower. Purified carbon monoxide is carbonylated with butanol in the presence of palladium catalyst to form dibutyl oxalate, which can be hydrolyzed to oxalic acid.

What are the applications of oxalic acid in controlling bee mites?

1. Stage of rupture is one of the effective treatment periods. After the honey is collected, the refined oxalic acid must be used to kill mites. In late summer and autumn, there was no residual problem after treatment.

2. Dilute the refined oxalic acid and spray it evenly in the place where there are too many mites. Be cautious in the treatment of refined oxalic acid. Put on masks or masks to protect the respiratory system. When the bee factory is treated, it is well ventilated.

Before using refined oxalic acid to control bee mites, because the reagent with high concentration will be corrosive, the effect of insecticidal dilution will be better, wear protective masks, wear protective clothing, and do a good job of protection.
